Privacy Policy — Batcho

Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. Who we are

The mobile application Batch Cooking - Batcho (“Batcho” or the “App”) is published by:

The publisher is the controller of the personal data processing described in this document, within the meaning of Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the “GDPR”) and, for users located in Switzerland, within the meaning of Article 5(j) of the Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”, see section 13). Details specific to users located in Quebec are set out in section 14.

2. How the App works, briefly

Batcho offers ready-made batch cooking sessions: you pick a session, shop from a single list, then cook everything in one go by following a step-by-step plan with timers. During onboarding, you enter your market, household size, diet, allergies, kitchen equipment and cooking day.

Batcho has no account and no server that stores your data. Your profile, current session and history stay on your device. Sessions are filtered against your allergies and diet locally. The App only connects to the internet to download the session catalog and its images, manage your subscription, report crashes and, if you agree, measure how the App is used.

3. Data we process

Subscription data Subscription status, trial period, in-app purchase history Provided by Apple's App Store via RevenueCat — we never receive your payment details, which are handled exclusively by Apple
Crash and diagnostic data Error reports, device model, iOS and app version Collected automatically by our error tracking tool (Sentry), without personal data by default (“sendDefaultPii” disabled)
Usage data and statistics Product events (e.g. onboarding step viewed, session viewed, chosen or cooked, shopping list shared, rating given), onboarding answers (goal, obstacles, statements), market and household size, linked to a random identifier Collected by our analytics tool (PostHog) only if you agree. Session recording and automatic screen capture are disabled. Never your allergies, your diet, the pork-free option or any text you type
Support conversations Email address and the content of your message Sent by you, on your initiative, when you write to contact@solis-apps.com

Your allergies and diet may reveal information about your health or beliefs, which is sensitive data (Art. 9 GDPR, Art. 5(c) FADP, s. 12 of the Quebec private sector act). Your allergies, your main diet (omnivore, flexitarian, vegetarian, vegan or pescatarian) and the pork-free option stay on your device only: they are never sent to our servers, analytics tools or service providers, and the publisher has no access to them. All of this is erased if you use “Delete My Data” or uninstall the App. See also the disclaimer in section 11.

5. Who we share your data with (processors)

We do not sell any personal data. Some data is sent to technical service providers, each acting as a processor under Article 28 GDPR strictly for the purposes listed above:

ProviderRoleData location
SupabaseHosting of the session catalog and its images (read-only, no profile data)European Union (Ireland)
PostHogProduct usage analytics, with your consentEuropean Union
SentryError tracking and diagnosticsEuropean Union (Germany)
RevenueCatSubscription and in-app purchase managementUnited States
Apple Inc.Subscription payment processing via the App StoreUnited States

Apple, as operator of the App Store, processes subscription payments as an independent controller, not as a processor. If you share your shopping list, it is sent through the iOS share sheet to the app or person you choose; the publisher does not receive a copy.

6. International data transfers

RevenueCat and Apple are US companies that may process data outside the European Union. These transfers rely on the following safeguards:

The publisher periodically reviews the safeguards applicable to each provider, as certifications and contractual arrangements may change. You can ask for details of the safeguards applicable to a given provider by writing to contact@solis-apps.com.

The safeguards applicable to data disclosed from Switzerland and from Quebec are described in sections 13 and 14.

7. Retention period

8. Notifications, advertising tracking and location

Reminders (new session, shopping, timer finished, thawing, dinner) and the timer Live Activity are local notifications scheduled on your device: no notification server receives your data. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

The App does no advertising tracking: it does not use your device's advertising identifier, does not ask for tracking permission (ATT) and shares no data with advertising networks. It does not access your location, contacts or photos. Only usage measurement (PostHog) depends on your consent, which you can change at any time in Batcho > Settings > Usage statistics.

9. Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:

To exercise these rights (other than the actions available in the app), contact contact@solis-apps.com. As the App works without an account, we may ask for the information needed to find the data linked to your anonymous identifier (for a subscription, for example, the transaction ID shown on your Apple receipt). You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France's data protection authority — www.cnil.fr) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence in the European Union. If you live in Switzerland or Quebec, your rights and the competent authority are set out in section 13 and section 14.

10. Security

Your profile data never leaves your device and is protected by iOS storage protection. The catalog is served read-only: the App cannot write anything to it. All communications between the App and our service providers are encrypted (TLS).

11. Important disclaimer — allergies, diet and food safety

Sessions are filtered by allergy and diet automatically, based on the data you declare and on catalog information. This is neither medical advice nor an absolute guarantee that an allergen is absent. Always check the ingredient list and the labels of the products you buy yourself before eating, especially if you have a severe allergy.

The publisher cannot be held liable for an allergic reaction or an incident caused by incorrect or incomplete food information. The Terms of Service set out food storage and hygiene precautions.

12. Children

The App is not intended for people under 16. If you are between 13 and 16 (depending on the age of digital consent set by your country of residence in the EU), using the App requires the consent of a person with parental responsibility. In Switzerland, use of the App by a person aged 13 to 16 likewise requires the consent of their legal representative.

13. Users located in Switzerland (FADP)

If you live in Switzerland, the processing of your data is also governed by the Federal Act of 25 September 2020 on Data Protection (“FADP”, SR 235.1) and its Ordinance (“DPO”, SR 235.11), which apply where processing has effects in Switzerland (Art. 3 FADP). This entire document applies to users located in Switzerland; this section clarifies or adapts certain points.

13.1 Controller

The controller is the publisher identified in section 1, established in France, reachable at contact@solis-apps.com. No representative in Switzerland has been appointed, as the cumulative conditions of Article 14 FADP (large-scale, regular processing posing a high risk to personality) are not met.

13.2 Principles and justification

The FADP does not require a legal basis for each processing operation; it requires compliance with the principles of lawfulness, good faith, proportionality, purpose limitation, accuracy and security (Art. 6 and 8 FADP). Where a justification is required (Art. 31 FADP), we rely on the grounds set out in section 4: performance of the contract, our overriding interest or your consent.

13.3 Disclosure of data abroad

Your data may be disclosed to the recipients listed in section 5, located in the following countries:

13.4 Automated individual decisions

Sessions are filtered against your profile automatically, on your device, but this is not an automated individual decision within the meaning of Article 21 FADP: it has no legal effect on you and does not significantly affect you. No other decision of this kind is made about you.

13.5 Your rights

In particular, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, write to contact@solis-apps.com. As the App works without an account, we may ask for the information needed to find the data linked to your anonymous identifier. If you believe the processing of your data breaches the FADP, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) — www.edoeb.admin.ch — or bring proceedings before the competent civil courts.

14. Users located in Quebec (Law 25)

If you live in Quebec, the processing of your personal information is also governed by the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), as amended by Law 25 (the “Act”). This entire document applies to users located in Quebec; this section clarifies certain points.

14.1 Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Under section 3.1 of the Act, the person in charge of the protection of personal information is Rémi Dutot, publisher of the App, reachable at contact@solis-apps.com. Any question, access request or complaint about your personal information may be sent to him.

14.2 Consent and privacy settings

Your information is collected from you, by the App, for the purposes described in section 4. In line with sections 8.1 and 9.1 of the Act, the App's settings provide the highest level of confidentiality by default:

14.3 Communication outside Quebec

Your personal information is communicated outside Quebec, to the providers listed in section 5, in the European Union (Ireland, Germany) and the United States. These communications are governed by the contractual commitments and safeguards described in section 6 (s. 17 of the Act).

14.4 Automated decisions

Sessions are filtered against your profile automatically, but no decision based exclusively on automated processing and producing effects for you is made within the meaning of section 12.1 of the Act.

14.5 Your rights

To exercise these rights, write to contact@solis-apps.com. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information (s. 3.5). If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) — www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.

15. Users located in other countries

As the App is distributed through the App Store in several countries, the principles of this document (GDPR) apply to all users as the processing standard. If you live outside the EU, Switzerland and Quebec, local law may give you different or additional rights (for example the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom, the federal PIPEDA elsewhere in Canada, the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia, or the California Consumer Privacy Act for California residents). This document does not detail these local regimes; to exercise a right specific to your jurisdiction, contact contact@solis-apps.com. We do not sell or share your personal data for targeted advertising.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App or to the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. If a change is substantial, you will be informed within the App.

17. Contact

For any question about this policy or your personal data: contact@solis-apps.com. No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed, as appointing one is not mandatory given the volume and nature of the processing carried out by the publisher.
