Terms of Service — Batcho
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms of service and sale (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the mobile application Batch Cooking - Batcho (“Batcho” or the “App”), published by Rémi Dutot, sole trader (entreprise individuelle, micro-entreprise), trading as SOLIS APPS, SIRET 834 715 534 00022, registered at 2 Impasse du Maine Poirier, 17360 La Clotte, France (the “Publisher”), as well as the terms of the subscription offered within the App.
By installing or using the App, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
2. Description of the service
Batcho is a batch cooking app. It offers ready-made sessions, each made of several recipes to cook in one go for the week's meals. For each session, the App provides:
- a single shopping list, sorted by aisle and scaled to your household size;
- a step-by-step cooking plan (the “game plan”), with timers, notifications and a Live Activity;
- a week guide telling you what to eat each night, how to store each dish and when to take it out of the freezer.
Sessions come exclusively from a catalog prepared and reviewed by the Publisher; they are not generated automatically at runtime. The App hides sessions that do not fit the allergies and diet you declare, and flags those that need equipment you have not listed. Quantities are recalculated for your household size; the durations shown are estimates.
3. Access to the service
The App does not require an account (no email, no password). Your profile, current session and history are stored on your device; they are not synced between your devices and cannot be recovered by the Publisher if you erase them or change devices. Your subscription is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored from Settings > Restore Purchases.
The App works offline using the catalog saved on the device; an internet connection is needed to receive new sessions and their images, and to subscribe or check a subscription.
4. Subscription
4.1 Description
Access to sessions requires an active subscription. The plans offered (for example weekly or yearly), their duration and price are shown on the payment screen (“paywall”) at the time of purchase and may vary by country and current promotional offers.
4.2 Payment and billing
Payments are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) and charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The Publisher has no access to any payment details and never bills users directly. Billing, auto-renewal and payment terms are governed by the App Store's terms, in addition to these Terms.
4.3 Auto-renewal and cancellation
Unless stated otherwise before purchase, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings, or from Settings > Manage subscription in the App. The Publisher cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf. You keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
4.4 Free trial
If a free trial is offered, its length is clearly shown before you confirm the purchase. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends, the trial automatically converts into a paid subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a paid subscription.
4.5 Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to distance contracts does not apply to the supply of digital content not provided on a tangible medium, where performance has begun with your prior express consent and your express acknowledgement that you thereby lose this right — which you accept when you confirm the purchase on Apple's payment screen. For any refund request, contact Apple directly, which applies its own refund policy.
For consumers living in Switzerland, Swiss law provides no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online (Articles 40a et seq. of the Code of Obligations only cover doorstep and telephone sales). The paragraph above on the French Consumer Code therefore does not apply; refund requests follow section 4.6.
4.6 Refunds
Refund requests are handled exclusively under Apple's policy (reportaproblem.apple.com); the Publisher has no technical means to issue a refund directly.
5. Content and intellectual property
The sessions, recipes, cooking plans, text, photographs, visuals, the “Batcho” brand and all elements of the App are protected by intellectual property law and remain the property of the Publisher or its licensors. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-commercial right of use. Any unauthorised reproduction, extraction or reuse, including systematic extraction of the catalog, is prohibited. You may share your shopping list with anyone you choose.
6. User obligations
You agree to:
- provide accurate information about your allergies, diet and household, as session filtering and quantity calculations depend directly on it;
- not use the App for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to its intended use;
- not attempt to circumvent the subscription mechanisms.
7. Disclaimer — allergies, health and kitchen safety
The App is not a medical device and provides no professional medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Filtering sessions by allergen and diet relies on the information you declare and on catalog data, and may contain errors or omissions. Product composition varies by brand and country. You are responsible for checking the ingredient list and the labels of the products you buy before cooking and eating, especially if you have a severe allergy or a condition requiring a strict diet.
Cooking times, fridge and freezer storage times, and thawing and reheating advice are given as guidance only. They assume fresh produce, an unbroken cold chain, quick cooling of cooked food and a fridge set to 4 °C (40 °F) or below. Make sure meat, poultry, fish and eggs are cooked through, and do not eat a dish that looks or smells unusual. Vulnerable people (pregnant women, young children, older or immunocompromised people) should follow the health guidance that applies to them.
Timers, notifications and Live Activities are an aid: they may be delayed or not appear (Focus mode, notifications turned off, device switched off or low battery). Never leave cooking unattended, and take care with knives, hobs, ovens and electrical appliances.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher accepts no liability for any allergic reaction, food poisoning, household accident or damage resulting from use of the App or from incorrect, incomplete or outdated food information.
8. Availability and changes to the service
The Publisher aims to publish new sessions regularly, usually every week, without guaranteeing a schedule or a number of sessions that fit a given profile. The Publisher may correct, replace or withdraw a session from the catalog; a session you have already chosen stays available as it was until the end of your week. The Publisher strives to keep the App continuously available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability (maintenance, third-party outages, force majeure) and may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of its features.
9. Deleting your data
You can erase your profile, settings, current session and history at any time from Settings > Delete My Data. This action cannot be undone and takes you back to onboarding. It does not affect an active subscription, which Apple manages separately — see section 4.3 to cancel the subscription itself.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damage resulting from use of the App, for the loss of data stored on your device, or for the temporary unavailability of a third-party service the App relies on (Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase). Nothing in these Terms limits the Publisher's liability where the law does not allow it, in particular for gross negligence or personal injury.
11. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
The Publisher may change these Terms at any time. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the new terms. A change does not apply to a subscription period already paid for.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you live outside France, you keep the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence where local law requires it, notwithstanding the choice of French law above.
For consumers living in France, and in accordance with the French Consumer Code's provisions on amicable dispute resolution (Art. L616-1), you may use a consumer mediation service free of charge, after first sending a written complaint to the Publisher. The Publisher is in the process of joining an approved consumer mediator; the mediator's name and contact details will be published in this section as soon as membership is effective. In the meantime, any complaint may be sent directly to contact@solis-apps.com.
Failing an amicable resolution, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules applicable in the consumer's country of residence.
For consumers living in Switzerland, no mediation body has been designated: any complaint may be sent to contact@solis-apps.com. You keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of Swiss consumer law and may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence, in accordance with the Lugano Convention of 30 October 2007.
